| The experiences and opinions of those in my care are what matters most. This is where the rubber meets the road, and why I'm still so enthused to do what I get to do for a living!! James |
"I started experiencing chronic headache and migraine following a car accident, and I went to multiple doctors and spent the better part of a year receiving physical therapy. They all helped, but I still continued to have lower levels of chronic head and neck pain. A friend recommended James for therapeutic massage.
After several appointments I was surprised by how much better I could feel--not only did the constant pain that had become my new normal recede, but I actually felt good again, in a way I hadn't really expected. James helped me to experience an exceptionally relaxed body and mind and has shown me how I can get back to that state on my own. I'm very grateful for his expertise in his profession and his kindness and generosity as a person."

"I like that you explain things. The other therapists I’ve been to don’t know why they’re doing what they’re doing."

"James,
While I don't think I've returned to any fluency of normal language yet, I want to try to tell you how very gorgeous the massage was--my hands, my feet transformed. I wish the experience was a painting so that I could look again or notes that I could play them. You're amazing! Thank you."

"One of the things that makes James’ work so special is that his work leaves me both relaxed and revitalized. So often an hour or ninety minutes on a massage table can leave me stiff and sleepy, but at the end of a session with James I feel loose, limber, and ready for whatever else the day can bring."

"I can’t remember a time without chronic pain and nagging sciatica until this past year when I had my first massage with James Stevenson. I’ve since tried others but with no relief, some actually caused the sciatica to worsen. I honestly didn’t realize his trained touch could not only ease but eliminate the excruciating pain.
At 18, I had spinal fusions to correct the S-curve in my back caused by scoliosis. Pregnancies later shifted my body weight and bent the herrington rod which had to be removed through a second surgery. Now 30 years later, I’m faced with a third back surgery because of compression caused by a herniated / ruptured disc, arthritic bone spurs and spinal stenosis.
Weekly massages with James have restored balance to my muscles and tendons. His ability to explain what I’ve done to create more pain and how I can make lifestyle changes have improved my overall health. As the pain has eased, I’ve been able to increase my exercise, am walking and sitting comfortably and finally able to start losing the weight needed to reduce the stress on my lower back. James' skill and medical knowledge has given me renewed hope and I sincerely recommend you allow James to do the same for yourself."

"I’m writing this in hopes that anyone who has experienced pain and exhausted their search for relief – i.e., chiropractic services, should consider MyoGuy Muscle Therapeutics. I would highly recommend James Stevenson, Therapist.
His professional methods of massage are executed with great skill and his knowledge of the human body is incredible. His methods are so in tune with your body and what it actually tells him, that the pain is no longer present when you leave his office.
I cannot express enough gratitude to him. For months, I was in so much pain and with just 2-one hour sessions, I was back to myself. His methods changed my life."

"Early in 2008, I started experiencing severe pain in my left shoulder. My training sessions at the gym were defined by my level of pain and limited range of motion. I could not lift my arm up even with my shoulders. I asked James if he could provide any relief through massage therapy.
Over a period of several weekly sessions, he worked through various levels of muscle spasms, each time providing noticeable pain relief and improved range of motion. The shoulder and arm did not limit any of my vacation activities that summer. When I returned to my regular training sessions at the gym, my trainer asked me which shoulder he needed to be careful about. I realized at that moment that I had been pain-free for 3 months and I hadn't even thought about it.
I am now able to work and workout with no limitations.
Thank You, James!"
